Disney’s Beauty and the Beast with Princess Belle is a long time favorite of kids birthday party themes. These cupcake ideas and supplies for Beauty and the Beast cupcakes should be helpful for this theme, many are handmade!
Princess Belle is a favorite in our house – most of the princesses are, I’m just saying – and I am sure if you have a daughter who reads, Belle is her favorite too. Cupcakes are great for helping a theme shine through in a party. Some of these look easier to make than others, or you can show this post to your baker to give them an idea of what you are looking for in your mini cakes.
This is a great group of cupcakes for the Beauty and the Beast theme. If you have boys and girls coming to the party, be sure to have enough of the beast cupcakes for the boys. Don’t forget you can add Cogsworth and Lumiere – even Chip! This is helpful when your princess has brothers.
If you only have two types of cupcakes at a Beauty and the Beast party, it’s the two main characters that you will need to have. The set above can be made using pre-made sugar roses, horns out of fondant and icing tips. If they do not have to be perfect, let your child help you make them. Messy cupcakes are twice the fun!
Frosting rounds are an available alternative to having to create frosting masterpieces – although you still need to make the cupcakes an put some frosting on them. These Beauty and the Beast frosting rounds in the above photo are available to be personalized via third party on Amazon.com – pretty nifty!
Cogsworth is such a cutie and should be at every Beauty and the Beast party. He is the easier character to make because he has a flat face. For most of the other characters, you may want to purchase cupcake toppers or pre-made fondant figures.
This is a great cupcake design to add to Belle’s dress, especially if you are having kids who love books. This has the book, as a part of the theme of the movie and the number of the child’s age. These are molded or cut out of fondant.
The roses on these cupcakes are premade and can be found in stores and online(below). That makes them simple to create and oh-so-yummy! I love the deep red color of the roses against the bright yellow of the icing which represents Belle’s dress. The pearls add to the formal of the dance in the movie.
You will need to check out the video that goes with the Mrs. Potts cupcakes – so resourceful and helpful. Love the coloring of the cupcakes. These would make awesome treats for a Beauty and the Beast tea party.
I love these pull apart cupcake designs! Belle’s beautiful dress made out of yellow roses on chocolate cupcakes and decorated with white pearls candies and a non-edible necklace(maybe something different for the kids?). Love it!
